Sharon Professional Bag

The Sharon Professional Shoulder Bag is handmade in Northern Nigeria from 100% cotton African patterned fabrics. The sale of this product gives gainful training and employment to women who are widows and have suffered religious, cultural and familial turmoil. The women are enrolled in a training program in which they learn the trade of tailoring and craft making as well as receive literacy classes, business classes, life skills classes, Christian discipleship and are fed a nutritious meal every day. On graduation day, each woman is given a sewing machine to launch her business which provides a way to start new, supporting themselves and their children.
